Requirements to obtain a marriage license in Davis County
|
- Both applicants need to come in together
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must present Valid Picture I.D.
Driver’s License, Military I.D., Passport, State I.D. Card, Birth Certificate

Minors ages 16 - 17
|
- Must appear accompanied by parent or legal guardian.
- In the case of divorced parents the parent must provide proof of guardianship (court papers) to be attached to the application.

Minors age 15
|
- A Petition for Authorization to Marry and Court Order form must be obtained
from the Clerk/Auditor’s office and taken to a juvenile court judge.

Application Requirements
|
- Full names, including the maiden name of the female
- Social Security numbers
- Permanent addresses
- Date and place of birth (town or city, county, state or country)
- Complete names of parents, including the maiden name of the mother
- Birthplaces of father and mother (state or country)
- If this is a 2nd, 3rd, etc marriage due to divorce, on the application you must provide a date that the divorce from a previous marriage was final. If the divorce was final less than 6 months you must bring court documents showing the divorce is final.

County Clerks are authorized by statute to issue licenses and perform marriage ceremonies.
Applicants must make arrangements with the Clerk or with others that are authorized to perform the ceremony.
Licenses are valid for 30 days from the date of purchase.
Licenses can be used anywhere in the State of Utah.
There is no physical or blood test required

We accept cash, check, Visa and Mastercard.
The fee is $50.00 (Includes 2 Certified Copies that are mailed to the customer)
The fee for additional certified copies of the marriage license is $5.00 per copy.
The fee for just a photocopy is $2.00 per copy.

Ceremony Fees (if ceremony is performed by the County Clerk)
|
Ceremony Fees $ 50.00 for ceremonies performed by the clerk’s office.

Hours
|
Licenses are issued 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The office is not open on Saturday, Sunday or Holidays*.
