Commissioner Alan Hansen is a lifelong resident of Davis County. He was born and raised in Sunset and graduated from Clearfield High School. He has a technical certificate from Weber State University. He has been involved in politics and community service since 1972. He has been a county and state delegate for the Republican Party. He has served on the Clearfield City Planning Commission as a member and vice-chair. He also served as a member of the Clearfield City Council.
In Alan’s professional career, he has been in marketing & promotions. Prior to becoming Commissioner, he was working at Pinnacle Marketing Communications and was involved in the tourism trade publication division for the hotel industry and convention and visitors bureaus in the state of Utah.
As a member of his community, Alan has volunteered for in the Boy Scouts of America as a leader and merit badge counselor for over 25 years. He is active in his church and their youth activities
Alan and his wife Vickie reside in Clinton. They have four children and one granddaughter.
