P. Bret Millburn, Commission Vice-Chair

Bret Millburn is a native of Davis County and currently resides in Centerville. He and his wife Michelle are parents of two sons and two daughters.
He received his B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Political Science from Weber State University and Associates of Arts and Sciences from Ricks College.
Prior to being elected Commissioner, Bret served as Director of Planning & Development with United Way of Northern Utah (UWNU).
Additional professional experience includes: Numerous positions with the Salt Lake Bid and Organizing Committees for the Olympic Winter Games and Paralympic Winter Games of 2002, including community outreach, planning and budget, and federal government relations. His final assignment was that of General Manager of Athlete Transportation.
Bret also served as Assistant to the Speaker of the Utah House of Representatives, where he made valuable connections and gained insightful policy-making experience.
He has always been actively involved in civic and religious affairs, having served in various leadership capacities.
Some of Bret’s key priorities include:
- Fiscal prioritization – Focus on the must haves before the nice to haves and enhancements
- Communication – Regular and enhanced communication with the citizens and elected officials of the 15 cities in Davis County
