The Weatherization program reduces energy cost for low-income families by improving the efficiency of their homes.
Weatherization services are available free of charge to any income qualifying individuals in Davis, Morgan and Weber Counties. Weatherization measures can be added to single-family homes, multi-family dwellings, and mobile homes.
The typical measures include installing insulation, reducing air infiltration, performing tune-ups and repairs to heating systems, replacing appliances to improve efficiency and safety, and replacing incandescent lighting with compact fluorescent bulbs.
Weatherization crews also address energy-related health and safety conditions, particularly carbon monoxide and combustion safety.
